I think that is how it’s spelled. Another recovered recipe from and old handwritten cookbook. Looks simple and tasty.
1 lb lean ground beef
2 cups canned tomatoes
2 cups each chopped onions and green peppers
3 cups cooked rice
1 tablespoon chili powder
2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon each black pepper and garlic powder
1 cup grated cheddar cheese
In an oven proof skillet saute’ beef, onion, and green pepper with the seasonings until meat is no longer pink and the vegetables are tender. Stirring frequently to crumble up the meat.
Add the tomatoes and rice.
Top with the cheese and bake at 350F until the cheese melts.
